From Tim,
Hey friends. Sorry to have left you hanging for a solid week. I have felt so rotten that my phone lives on the window sill. Nevertheless thank you for the abundance of calls, texts, and prayers (especially for Deena Jones).
Most know that we came home early from the Douglas mission trip for an emergency surgery on a necrotic gallbladder. We were released from the hospital on Friday, but started having redness and swelling Saturday night. By Sunday morning I could barely move, so we returned to the hospital. Lots of speculation was thrown out and they treated me aggressively until most all of those have been ruled out.
The doctor just visited us and said that every test has been negative and every vital sign is within proper range. Yet my side is angrily redder today and super-sensitive to anything touching it. We’re going to try something new today and hopefully discover a true diagnosis and effective treatment.
Worst Father’s Day ever, but I have been reminded afresh how blessed I am to have Alex Jones, Julianna Jones Younce, and Parker Younce (not Cheeto) in my life.
Keep praying, friends. I look forward to being back soon.
