Read Galatians 3
In chapters 1 and 2, Paul defended the gospel. In chapters 3 and 4, he will define the gospel.
As you read through this chapter, you will pick up on Paul's sharp explanation of the fact that we are saved, rescued, and redeemed only by faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross of Calvary.
Yes, true faith produces works of righteousness, but those works are a result of our faith, not vice versa!
The righteousness of Jesus living within us produces fruit which is external evidence of a new life of goodness and grace.
For the just shall live by faith, and the faith of the just shall be revealed by how they live!

(Prayer)
Father, strengthen my faith, so that others may see my faith, and call upon Jesus by faith for salvation and so much more. All for Your glory and in Jesus name. Amen!

Trust the Lord, follow the Lord, and glorify the Lord, by reading, believing, and living God's word.
Be a light in a dark world!

Read Galatians 2
In this second chapter, Paul has addressed his concerns (v.1-10), practiced biblical corrections (v.10-14), and now he brings the connection.
We all have a past, and we all are tainted by sin. Our only justification is through our faith in Jesus Christ. When making the conscious spiritual decision to follow Jesus, we MUST leave behind the things in our lives that would hold us back (anything that is not honoring to Jesus Christ). This is not easy. Then there are times when we think we have left things behind and then subconsciously rebuild them and justify them. This is unacceptable in the life of a Christ follower (v.15-19). Paul vocalizes his strong commitment and dedication to the Lord in verse 20 and makes a bold statement in verse 21.
Today, make this your prayer and personal commitment of faith in the LORD.
(Prayer)

"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me." (v.20). All for the glory of God, and in Jesus’ name. Amen!

Read Galatians 2:1-14
In verses 1-10, Paul expresses concern for how others had begun teaching certain works and customs as necessities of the Christian faith. In verses 11-14, Paul's focus shifts from concerns to corrections.
Peter had presented himself one way with the Gentiles and another way with the Jews. He would actually withdraw himself from the Gentiles when the Jews were around. Today we would say he was showing favoritism and forming cliques. Paul found it necessary to correct Peter face to face (v.11-14).
It is never easy to rebuke another believer, especially one with whom you've closely served. If and when that time comes, be sure your approach is loving, gracious and led by the Spirit (Gal.6:1). Correction must take place ONLY by the leading of the Holy Spirit, using scriptures as your reference, and with the purpose of restoration.

Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me, revive me with the joy of Jesus. Then I can show others the hope, help, and healing that is only found in You. All for Your glory and in Jesus name, Amen!

Read Galatians 2:1-10
As Paul continues to defend the gospel, he acknowledges that certain Jewish Christians and some Jewish non-Christians who had worked their way into the church. Paul's concern was their influence on the Gentiles and other believers. They had begun adding Jewish customs and traditions and teaching such customs as necessities of the Christian faith. Some of which had begun to cause division among the members and even leadership.
This can easily happen today. A common, destructive error in the church is lifting religion and its works to a higher standard than the personal relationship and walk with Jesus. We must remember that salvation is by the grace of God and our faith in Jesus, not buy any works that we do, but through all that Jesus did.

Father, strengthen my faith and bring stability to my walk. May my testimony and Christian conduct be pleasing to You and persuade others to follow You. All for Your glory and in Jesus name. Amen!
