This was a really impactful summer for me. I got to hang out with my sister, my loving boyfriend Brody ❤️❤️❤️❤️😘😘😘😍😍🥰, and my AWESOME COWORKERS! I learned so much from Daniel Potter (or as I call him, Dan), Carolina Thompson (when she worked), and Mr Myron. But my favorite coworker was Henry. He always carried things that were more than 10 pounds, got things of the top shelf for me, and helped me see Columbus and First Baptist from a new perspective. I’ve loved getting to be YOUR social media intern, and even though I couldn’t ring the bell (it was heavy), my last day was super special. I’ll miss all of the chocolate croissants, but I’m off to sophomore year at UNG!!!!!🎉🎉🎉 Here’s to what’s next!

As summer dwindles, we need an appreciation post for our two incredible youth summer interns - Caroline and Henry.

In our third year of hosting youth interns for First Baptist Church Columbus I can say that the impact of the program is a testament to our church family! These young people elected to spend their summer spreading love and light to children and youth, carrying the mantle of what it means to be servant leaders. They’ve learned about God, grown into adulthood, and now have invested in the future of our church.

In what was a very different summer for me, their tireless effort and commitment made what could have been a disjointed summer as impactful as any summer in my ten years serving here.

Henry and Caroline, I will save the opportunity to celebrate you individually and tell you more for an in person chat. Know that our church, youth ministry, and the body of Christ is better, more whole, because of your work this summer.

Yall show them some love. And look out for their own posts celebrating their time as an intern :)
