Hate has no home here.

The Columbus Jewish community is devastated at the news that Hamas has killed six more hostages, among them the American Hersh Goldberg-Polin z”l, whose story we have come to know so well through the tireless advocacy of his parents Rachel and Jon.

We mourn the loss of these innocents, Hersh, Eden Yerushalmi z”l, Carmel G*t z”l, Almog Sarusi z”l, Alex Lubnov z”l, and Ori Danino z”l.

Our hearts are with their families and loved ones, may they be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem. May their memories be a blessing.

We pray that the remaining hostages will soon be returned home safely.

in support of the hostages

As we head into Shabbat, we’re honored to share Bring Hersh Home and Bring Them Home Now’s Week of Goodness this Sunday, July 14, through July 21.

The families of all the hostages have been running to the ends of the earth to do everything possible to help save our loved ones. But we have yet to see the result we want. Now, the families have dedicated one week to surge light and goodness into the world.

In solidarity with the families of the 116 hostages remaining in Gaza, join in the "Week of Goodness" campaign. The first event will take place on Sunday with an evening of communal singing.

, and let’s do some good!

Huge Mazel Tov to all the fierce student advocates who ensured this successful outcome!

Following our steadfast campaign to defeat the anti-Israel BDS resolution at OSU, we are elated to share that BDS will NOT be allowed on the ballot. As the administration shared, this decision was made after guidance from the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, which states that divestment from Israel is illegal in Ohio; USG’s constitution clearly affirms that their actions must adhere to state law. This decision sends a powerful message that there is no place for antisemitism at OSU. We’re so proud of our students’ leadership in standing up for their values and driving meaningful change alongside national and community partners. We are grateful to OSU President Carter and his administration for listening to our concerns and preventing this hateful referendum from moving forward. We also thank our partners in the Ohio Jewish community for supporting us throughout these challenging times.

We need your help.

Anti-Israel activists are demanding Columbus City Council pass a ceasefire resolution. They are flooding council members' emails and packing city council meetings with messages in support of an anti-Israel resolution.

We need to make our voices heard on this issue!

A ceasefire resolution will exacerbate antisemitic & Islamophobic attitudes and rhetoric, divide the community and will do nothing to promote the safety or security of our community here in Columbus & Central Ohio.

JewishColumbus cares deeply about uniting our community. This would cause Jewish and Palestinian residents to feel unsafe in their hometowns.

Please take just a minute to send an email to all members of Columbus City Council urging them NOT to introduce a resolution -> https://ohiojc.quorum.us/campaign/57254/

CALLING ALL OSU ALUMNI AND FRIENDS OF OSU:

A number of community leaders and alumni have put together a petition we would like to send to the OSU administration, urging them to make a statement supporting Israel and condemning Hamas. Adding your signature to this petition will send a strong message to the administration. You can find the petition below:
