Thank you to Walter Nesbitt for blessing us with a powerful Father’s Day message this past Sunday: “Gimmie That Old Time…Fatherhood.”

Walter reminded us that true fatherhood isn’t about authority alone—it’s about love, humility, and servant leadership modeled after Christ. He challenged fathers to move beyond outdated mindsets and instead live out a faith where God’s Word is not just taught, but woven into the heart and daily life of the family. The message emphasized that being a godly father means being present, nurturing, and committed—reflecting Christ’s love in both word and action.

We are so thankful to Paul Kauffmann for bringing the message this past Sunday at Edgewood!

Paul’s sermon, “When God Makes Us Laugh… (When We Try to Help God)”, reminded us through the story of Sarah that God’s promises often come in ways and on timelines far beyond our expectations. Even when doubt creeps in or we try to “help” God along out of fear or impatience, God remains faithful. Sarah’s laughter—first rooted in disbelief—ultimately became joy when God fulfilled His promise, showing us that nothing is too wonderful for the Lord.

Paul encouraged us to trust God’s timing, resist the urge to force outcomes, and remember that God’s promises rest on His character—not our performance. Even in seasons of waiting and uncertainty, God is at work, turning our doubt into testimony and our waiting into growth.

What a powerful reminder that God is never late—and His grace is bigger than our mistakes!

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Linda Gunn, TRE, for the powerful word she shared this past Sunday.

Her message on justification by faith reminded us that following God often means stepping into the unknown—but His promises are always greater than our present circumstances. Even when the journey feels uncertain, we are called to trust, obey, and move forward in faith.

She reminded us that like Abraham, we may struggle and even waver at times, but God’s faithfulness never changes. We don’t have to be perfect—just willing to keep the faith and stay committed to Him.

Her five key lessons truly spoke to our hearts:
• Faith requires us to step into the unknown
• God’s promises outweigh our circumstances
• Obedience matters
• Worship must be a continual part of our lives
• God’s promises are not dependent on our perfection

Her personal testimony brought it all home—encouraging us that even in difficult seasons, God is still leading us to something greater.

Thank you, Linda, for your transparency, encouragement, and for reminding us all to keep the faith no matter what. 🙏

Today was such a special day as we took time to celebrate the incredible young people in our ministry and all they have accomplished over the past year! 💛

From spiritual growth and leadership to service, creativity, and personal victories—each one of you has shown determination, faith, and a willingness to keep moving forward. We are so proud of the young men and women you are becoming!

Your hard work, commitment, and passion do not go unnoticed. You inspire us with your courage to step up, serve others, and walk boldly in your purpose. God has great plans for each of you, and we are honored to walk alongside you on this journey.

We are so thankful for Joe Slaughter, TRE, for sharing a meaningful message with us on Trinity Sunday!

Joe reminded us that while the mystery of the Trinity—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—may be beyond our full understanding, it is a truth we embrace by faith. He beautifully walked us through how the Holy Spirit has been present from the very beginning of creation and continues to be active in our lives today.

His message emphasized that the Holy Spirit is not just a distant force, but a personal presence—our advocate, teacher, and guide—who equips us with spiritual gifts, dwells within us, and empowers us to live out our faith each day.

We were also reminded that the Holy Spirit is given to all who believe, marking us as God’s own and calling us to reflect His love through the fruit of the Spirit in our daily lives.
