Today, we pause to remember the Emanuel Nine on the eleventh anniversary of the tragic shooting at Mother Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church.
Though years have passed, we continue to honor their faith, witness, and legacy. As we remember, let us pray for the congregation of Mother Emanuel, and all whose lives were forever changed by this tragedy.
We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

✨ A Historic Day in Columbus! ✨

On Saturday, May 30, the Columbus Landmarks Foundation hosted its inaugural AMEN Tour, a special journey celebrating the rich history, faith, and legacy of the African American church in Columbus.

The tour visited the three oldest Black churches in the city, including St. Paul A.M.E. Church, the oldest African American church in Columbus, proudly serving the community for over 203 years since its establishment in 1823.

We were honored to welcome guests who came to learn about our history, architecture, ministry, and the generations of faithful men and women who helped shape both our church and our city. The day was filled with fellowship, education, worship, music, and a renewed appreciation for the enduring legacy of the Black Church.

A heartfelt thank you to the Columbus Landmarks Foundation, our presenters, volunteers, choir members, officers, and everyone who participated in making this historic occasion such a tremendous success. Your dedication helped preserve and share an important part of Columbus history for future generations.

As we reflected on our past, we were reminded that we stand on the shoulders of giants whose faith, perseverance, and vision continue to inspire us today.

On Sunday, May 31, we celebrated Graduation and Promotion Sunday at St. Paul A.M.E. Church a special day set aside to honor our high school and college graduates, as well as our young people who are advancing to the next grade level.

Our youth are important to the heart and life of the Church, and we are committed to celebrating their achievements and encouraging their future success.

A special thank you to Cuan Tissong (from South Africa) for his inspiring message, reminding us to stay anchored in our purpose and to live lives that reflect faith, character, and commitment to God's calling.

Congratulations to all of our graduates and those being promoted! Your St. Paul Church family is proud of you, and we pray God's continued blessings upon your journey.
