SEPTEMBER IS “HUNGER AWARENESS MONTH”

MMBC aka Loving Hands of Macedonia Community Resources Center and Food Pantry proudly supported our partner Harvest Regional Food Bank for their annual Hunger Action Awareness luncheon.

Macedonia is grateful to serve Hempstead County Community and others within our church’s footprint.

Isaiah 58: 10
“and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness,and your night will become like the noonday.”

Pastor Lorenzo D. Kelly and the entire MMBC family is saddened to announce the transition of our dedicated and beloved member Bro. Herman D. Johnson, 94. Bro. Johnson gained his wings on Sunday morning, August 30, 2026.

We send our deepest condolences and prayers to the Johnson and Carrigan families, especially his devoted wife Sis. Maudlene Johnson, his children and grandchildren. He will be truly missed by everyone.

Bro. Herman D. Johnson was a dedicated devoted and attended Sunday School and worship services at faithful Macedonia until his illness.

Final arrangements are pending with Hicks Funeral Home in Hope Arkansas. Please continue to pray for the entire family, our church family and the community.

HEMPSTEAD COUNTY MMBC aka Loving Hands of Macedonia monthly Senior Food Box Distribution will be on Wednesday, August 26th from 10:00-noon.

This is for seniors citizens in Hempstead County, 60 and nover the age of 60, there are some income limits per household.

If you would like to be added to this monthly Senior Food Box distribution waiting list, please contact Sis. Geanenita Kelly at 214-650-9216.
The food boxes at given out the 4th Wednesday of every month.
