We are quick to say, “They’ll never change.”

But God is in the business of doing what we think is impossible.

He takes broken, rebellious people and makes them new. He steps into stories that seem destined to repeat themselves and writes something completely different.

That kind of transformation isn’t self-improvement. God breaks in and does what only He can do.

This Sunday, August 16, we have the privilege of honoring Mrs. Joyce Weekley and her remarkable 56 years of faithful service to our church library. 🤍

During our morning worship service, we will officially dedicate and rename the Morningside Library as the Joyce Weekley Library, celebrating the countless hours, love, and care she has poured into this ministry and our community.

We’re also grateful that this legacy of service will continue through her daughter, Beverly Porter, who will be taking over the library and following in her mother’s footsteps.

We hope you’ll join us for this special moment as we honor Mrs. Joyce, celebrate her legacy, and look forward to this next chapter for the Joyce Weekley Library!

Today our MBC staff gathered to celebrate two very special people—Lori Worley and Pastor Matt! We’re so thankful for the faithful way you both serve our church and for the joy you bring to our staff and church family. Happy Birthday! If you haven’t already, be sure to wish them a wonderful year ahead!
