Doctrinal Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God. It is without error, being the revelation of the mind of God given to man. It is the sufficient guide for salvation and standard for Christian living. We believe in one God, the creator of all things who is preexistent and eternal, revealing Himself unto man in three distinct manifestations, the Father, the So
n and the Holy Ghost. We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ as being one with the Father. He is God in the flesh, begotten of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life and gave up that life for the redemption of mankind. We believe in the sinful nature of man, resulting from the fall of Adam in the Garden of Eden. Thus mankind is unable to save himself from eternal punishment by his own works. We believe in the finished work of Jesus on the cross, a sacrifice for the complete salvation of all who believe. God having accepted the sacrifice, raised Jesus from the dead and exalted Him to His own right hand in Heaven, where He intercedes daily on our behalf. He is the head of the Church, the Lord of the believer, High Priest over the House of God and advocate for the family of God. Doctrines of Grace (TULIP)
Total Depravity- Man is completely unable to cope with his sinful state in a manner to gain, or contribute to his salvation. (Ephesians 2:1-5,8-9)
Unconditional Election- God has an elect people whom HE chose upon HIS own will and purpose, not conditioned on the goodness of man. (Mark 13:20; 2 Thessalonians 2:13)
Limited Atonement-Christ came, suffered and died to fulfill the terms of an arrangement entered into with the Father before the foundation of the world. (John 6:35-40; John 10:11,14-18,24-29)
Irresistible Grace- Although the Father chose and the Son paid the price, we could not be saved if it were not for the irresistible grace and power of the Spirit (Ezekiel 36:26-27; Galatians 1:15-16)
Perseverance of the Saints-Those who are chosen by the Father, redeemed by the Son, and regenerated by the Spirit are kept by the power of God. ONCE SAVED, ALWAYS SAVED! (2 Thessalonians 2:13-14; John 17:2; Matthews 18:12-14; Romans 5:8-10, 8:1)
