Monday Encouragement | Labor Day

Today may be a day set aside from our usual labor, but it’s also a good day to remember Who makes our labor matter.

“And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.”
Psalm 90:17

Whatever work God has given you, at a job, in your home, at church, caring for someone, or quietly serving where few people notice, do it faithfully.

Rest today. Be thankful. And when you return to your work, ask God to establish the work of your hands.

Charity is so much more than giving money. In the Bible, charity is love in action. Being patient, being kind, forgiving, serving, and caring for one another.

“And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.”
Colossians 3:14

Today, look for a way to give something that doesn’t cost a dime. Give your time. Give encouragement. Give grace. Give kindness.

Love people well. THAT is charity.

Monday Encouragement

“He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks...”
Isaiah 33:16

Sometimes God brings us higher so we can see what we couldn’t see from the valley.

The climb may be hard, the way may feel uncertain, but our security was never in the path beneath our feet. Our defence is the Lord.

Whatever this week brings, remember, you are safest where God has placed you.
