What a person thinks they know about another person

'Isn’t this the carpenter? Isn’t this Mary’s son and the brother of James, Joseph, Judas and Simon? Aren’t his sisters here with us?” And they took offense at him. Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own town, among his relatives and in his own home.” He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them. '

Mark 6:3-5

Let us not allow are opinions and what we think we know about a person be the cause of us not receiving the good God has for us.

Check Your Face Before You Leave The House.

Sometimes we can have a look on our face that tells the world we're upset, mad or don't want to be bothered.

More times than not our face reflects our attitude. So before you leave the house take a look at yourself and make the necessary adjustments to your attitude to reflect Christ.

If you're already at work take a bathroom break and check yourself out.

It's hard if not impossible to be a good witness for Christ when our attitude is not right.

Prosper

“Beloved, I pray that in every way you may succeed and prosper and be in good health [physically], just as [I know] your soul prospers [spiritually].”
3 John 1:2 AMP

When John prayed this prayer he approached the throne of grace with confidence (firm trust) that God would hear and respond to him.

An effective prayer life is one of firm trust in the God we serve 🙏🏾

So today I pray this same prayer for you:

Father I pray that in every way my brothers and sisters succeed and prosper and be in good health [physically], just as I pray their souls prospers [spiritually] Amen

Living out the word of God

What does living out the word of God mean, simply put it means living our lives in accordance with the word of God.

The word of God instructs about behavior as children, husbands, wives, employees, employers, pastors, teachers, friends, and neighbors.

As we look over this short list we may see one or two of these position that has some areas we need to strengthen.

We strengthen these areas by filling our hearts with the word of God. Let’s see what the LORD told Joshua:

“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall read [and meditate on] it day and night, so that you may be careful to do [everything] in accordance with all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will be successful.”
Joshua 1:8 AMP

So then let’s delight ourselves in meditating day and night on the word of God.

Make It Your Day

The way you start this day - your thinking will be a determining factor in how this day turns out. Don't let toxic thoughts produce a negative day.

Think on those things that are good, those things that are pleasant, those things that are heavenly.

Think on the possibilities not the impossiblilities and remember our God majors in the impossible.

Place your confidence in the LORD

We need to be careful not to misplace our confidence. The LORD is the only one that truly keeps His word and does what He says.

“It is better to trust in the Lord Than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the Lord Than to put confidence in princes.”

I Will Not Hear

God is not interested in the sacrifices or songs of a disobedient people. He has given His people commandments and ordinances to follow. For Him obedience is better than sacrifices. He doesn’t care about a sacrifice of praise or sacrifice of giving if we are operating in disobedience.

History show us that obedience is what He requires of us. Some may think if I pray in faith or if I speak to my mountain then things will happen for my good. We forget God is the one that makes things happen for us.

Songs without obedience, prayers without obedience are not heard by God. He reminds us of this fact in His word over and over.

Here’s just two passages of scriptures that lets us know that:
“Take away from Me the noise of your songs, For I will not hear the melody of your stringed instruments.”
Amos 5:23 NKJV

“When you spread out your hands, I will hide My eyes from you; Even though you make many prayers, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood.”
Isaiah 1:15 NKJV

An obedient child is a Blessed child!!!

Today Is a Great Day For a New Way of Thinking.

If you think the way you've always thought, chances are you will not progress in this Journey that the Most High God has you on.

This is what the word of God says:
Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]. (Romans 12:2 AMP)

The Presence of God

The presence of God distinguishes us from all other people on the planet, read it for yourself:

And the Lord said, My Presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest. And Moses said to the Lord, If Your Presence does not go with me, do not carry us up from here! For by what shall it be known that I and Your people have
found favor in Your sight? Is it not in Your going with us so that we are distinguished, I and Your people, from all the other people upon the face of the earth? And the Lord said to Moses, I will do this thing also that you have asked, for you have found favor, loving-kindness, and mercy in My sight and I know you personally and by name. (Exodus 33:14-17 AMP)

I pray that we have found favor, loving-kindness, and mercy in the sight of the Most High God, so that we may be distinguish from all others.
