Last night KRBC joined with the wonderful folks at Cross and Crown Church for powerful night of worship.

We participated in a Tenebrae Service (Latin for darkness or shadows). Typically held on Good Friday it is a service characterized by the gradual extinguishing of candles and dimming of lights. This symbolizes the deepening darkness, the betrayal of Jesus, and His death on the cross. Service ends in silence and in near total darkness allowing worshipers to reflect on the Passion.

Many thanks to the worship team of Cross and Crown Church in leading music. It was beautiful to hear such a large congregation lifting up praises. Thank you to the scripture readers and spoken word poem (we were hanging on your every word). Thank you to Pastor Nick and Pastor Shane for bringing us all together.

Good Friday is a day where we remember the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross - a moment of deep love and redemption. It is a time to pause, reflect, and consider the weight of His sacrifice and the hope that comes through it.

We would love for you to join us tonight at 6:30 for a meaningful Good Friday service.

Whether you have been part of our church for years or are curious and looking for a place to connect, you are truly welcome here at KRBC. Come as you are. We would love to see you!

The Thursday before Easter is oftentimes referred to as Maundy Thursday. It is the Thursday before Easter, believed to be the day when Jesus celebrated his final Passover with His disciples.

It was on the Thursday of Jesus’ final week before His crucifixion and resurrection that He gave this command to His disciples:

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.” John 13:34

Palm Sunday is a celebration, but it is also a challenge to remind us that God's plans oftentimes look different than ours.

Do we only follow Jesus when he meets us where we are? Or do we continue to follow Him when He chooses to do things differently?

KRBC has partnered with For Columbus to join with other churches and congregations to pray for our city. We have one designated “day to pray” where we cover Columbus in prayer for 24 hours. Even if your name isn’t on the board, you can lift up our city in prayer!

As For Columbus shares on their site: “Our hearts’ desire is to experience God’s transforming presence in our lives and see His shalom come to our city.”

It’s a little dreary outside, but we are here and ready to welcome you. Our service starts at 10:30 with a couple praise and worship songs. If you’re new, there will be folks out on the lobby to greet you and help you find your way around.

Come just as you are. You are welcome here!

Happy Valentine’s Day from our KRBC family to yours! ❤️

“We love because He first loved us.” — 1 John 4:19

God’s love is the greatest love we will ever know. It is a love that is faithful, patient, and full of grace. Because of His love, we can share love with others through simple acts of kindness and compassion.

On this Valentine’s Day, may you feel how deeply loved you are by God.

If you’re looking for a place to grow in that love and community, we would love to welcome you this Sunday at 10:30 AM. There’s a place for you here at KRBC just as you are. Never forget you are loved, and you are a blessing to others. 💗

It’s Wednesday night and our praise team is hard at work practicing for Sunday morning. One song that has really stuck out tonight is “What a Beautiful Name”. This bridge of this song drives home some powerful reminders:

Death could not hold You
The veil tore before You
You silenced the boast, of sin and grave
The heavens are roaring the praise of Your glory
For You are raised to life again
You have no rival
You have no equal
Now and forever, God You reign
Yours is the Kingdom
Yours is the Glory
Yours is the name, above all names

❄️ Important Update: KRBC Closed Tomorrow

Because of the snow storm, we’re cancelling tomorrow’s service to keep our church family safe.

Let’s use this as a chance to care for one another - especially those who may be alone, elderly, or home bound. A quick text or call to check in or offer to help shovel can mean a lot. “Carry each other’s burdens…” (Galatians 6:2)

Stay warm, stay safe, and know you are loved.

With winter storm Fern heading towards Ohio, church may need to be cancelled Sunday. Everyone’s safety is a top priority. If Franklin County is a level 2 or higher, we will be canceling services. Stay tuned!

Make sure to get to the stores today and get any essentials. Stay safe and stay warm!
