Burchfield Ministries International BMI provides resources through a variety of ministry outreaches for Bible believing churches who promote Spirit-filled discipleship.

On May 6, 1989, a three letter word catapulted us into an adventure which would change our lives forever. That simple word was“Yes.” Ignoring the skeptics and experts, we said “Yes” to the Lord Jesus Christ who compelled us to leave behind our successful ministry in Houston and move to Columbus, Texas to “build a headquarters of faith for the youth of the world.”

e loaded up all of our earthly possessions and our two, young sons (and soon after, a baby daughter) to pursue a realm of faith parallelled to the book of Acts. We didn’t have financial support or the latest and greatest ministry secrets, nor did we walk into a perfect place. All we had was a love for young people, faith in Jesus and the Sovereign power of the Holy Spirit, and come to find out, that’s all we needed! A God-sent team arrived and, eventually, that “headquarters of faith” became a reality with 1,088 debt-free acres and half-a-million campers from 1,009 local church groups. Over the next (almost) three decades, a camp, a Bible School and a world church has been built to introduce believers to the joys and overcoming power found in the Word of God. Jesus died for His Church, so it is an honor to live for it. Our family, which continues to expand, is more committed than ever to strengthen churches in the faith and watch them increase in every area. We pray that with every outreach of BMI you encounter, you will feel the love, faith, and power of Jesus Christ. It is He who truly “Builds people and Blesses Churches,” and our role is simply to teach others, both locally and globally, and give them the opportunity to say that same simple word in their own life ….Yes!
