Ephesus SDA Columbus, Ohio

Ephesus SDA Columbus, Ohio The Ephesus SDA Church exists to prepare people for the second coming of Christ. Adventists are among the believers who look forward to that day.

Adventists believe in the Trinity - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit--make up one God. They made salvation possible when Jesus, the Son, came to earth as a baby in Bethlehem and lived a sinless life in accordance with the Father's will. When Jesus was crucified for the sins of the people of the world and arose from the dead on the third day, victory was won for everyone. When He returned to

heaven following the resurrection, Jesus left the Holy Spirit to serve as our Comforter and Counselor. He promised to return to earth a second time to complete His plan of salvation and take His people to heaven. Adventists believe that God is concerned with the quality of human life, and that everything--the way we live, eat, speak, think, treat each other, and care for the world around us--is a part of His plan. Our families, our children, our jobs, our talents, our money, and our time are all important to Him.

Good Morning To God’s Family!

DAILY NUGGET

And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that aught of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. Acts 4:32. (KJV)

Fraternal Love Expressed

When the Holy Spirit filled the early church, He changed not only how believers worshiped but also how they treated one another. They became “one heart and one soul,” willingly sharing their resources so that no one among them would be neglected. Their unity was expressed through practical generosity.

This kind of love reveals what happens when Christ truly possesses the heart. Money, time, possessions, and influence are no longer viewed merely as personal treasures but as gifts entrusted by God for blessing others and advancing His mission. Spirit-filled love is never merely spoken; it becomes visible through sacrifice. {Ye Shall Receive Power - Page 335 & The Acts of the Apostles, 70, 71}.

Contemporary Application: Ask yourself: How can what God has given me become a blessing to someone else? True Christian fellowship notices needs, shares willingly, and values people above possessions.

Prayer: Lord, fill my heart with the selfless love of Christ. Help me to hold Your blessings with open hands and willingly use my time, resources, and influence to bless others and advance Your work. Make me one in heart and spirit with Your people. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Heavy blessings to all. 🙏🙏

Good Morning To God’s Family!

DAILY NUGGET

Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. Philippians 4:4. (KJV)

It Calls for a Joyful Praise

Prayer is essential, but the Christian life should also overflow with praise. When we truly understand God’s grace, Christ’s sacrifice, and the wonder of redemption, gratitude becomes a natural response. Praise shifts our attention from what we lack to the goodness of the God we already possess.

Worship should therefore be more than quiet formality. God desires His people to be spiritually awake and responsive; receiving His Word with attentive hearts and expressing sincere gratitude. A church walking in the light will have something to praise God about. {Ye Shall Receive Power - Page 334 & Testimonies for the Church, Vol. 5, pp. 317-318}.

Contemporary Application: Do not allow prayer to become a list of requests without thanksgiving. Remember what God has done, celebrate His sustaining grace, and let your “Amen” and praise come from a grateful heart.

Prayer: Lord, give me a grateful and joyful heart. Help me not only to seek You in prayer, but also to praise You for Your love, grace, and wonderful salvation. May my life continually bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Heavy blessings to all. 🙏🙏

Good Morning To God’s Family!

DAILY NUGGET

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. Romans 15:13. (KJV)

The Spirit Brings Peace and Joy

The Holy Spirit draws us into a living experience with God through His Word. As we prayerfully search the Scriptures, the Spirit opens our understanding, reveals Christ more clearly, and makes familiar truths fresh and personal. The Bible becomes more than information; it becomes spiritual nourishment for the soul.

This communion with God produces something the world cannot manufacture: deep peace, genuine joy, and enduring hope. The more we feed upon His Word, the stronger we become spiritually and the more firmly our lives are anchored in Christ. {Ye Shall Receive Power - Page 333 & Manuscript Releases, Vol. 21, pp.131-132}.

Contemporary Application: Approach Scripture prayerfully, asking the Holy Spirit to speak to your heart. Do not merely read the Word - allow it to shape your thoughts, strengthen your faith, and deepen your relationship with Jesus.

Prayer: Lord, fill me with Your Holy Spirit as I search Your Word. Give me deeper understanding, strengthen my faith, and fill my heart with Your peace, joy, and hope. May Your Word become life to my soul. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Heavy blessings to all. 🙏🙏

Good Morning To God’s Family!

DAILY NUGGET

Yea, doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ. Philippians 3:8. (KJV)

A Spiritual Revolution

The Holy Spirit does more than improve our behavior; He brings a revolution within the heart. As Christ is revealed to us in His love and beauty, pride gives way to humility, unbelief to faith, and resistance to surrender. The affections that once centered on self are redirected toward Christ and His purposes.

At Pentecost, the church was filled with the Spirit, but Christ remained the center of everything; the source of their light, joy, and witness. The same is true today: where the Spirit is truly working, Jesus becomes more precious, His character becomes more visible, and His love increasingly governs the life. {Ye Shall Receive Power - Page 332 & The Signs of the Times, June 9, 1890}.

Contemporary Application: Ask the Spirit not merely to change what you do, but to transform what you love and desire. The greatest evidence of spiritual revival is a life becoming more like Jesus.

Prayer: Lord, let Your Holy Spirit bring a true revolution within my heart. Replace pride with humility, unbelief with faith, and selfishness with the love of Christ. May Jesus become the center of my life and be clearly seen in me. In His name I pray, Amen.

Heavy blessings to all. 🙏🙏

While you're waiting for your miracle, God is working in someone else's life too. And that's okay. Jesus proved His power is limitless when He healed the woman with the issue of blood on His way to Jairus's daughter. Trust His timing. Fear

Good Morning To God’s Family!

DAILY NUGGET

Let all things be done decently and in order. 1 Corinthians 14:40. (KJV)

God’s Work Characterized by Calmness

God’s presence does not need confusion or unusual demonstrations to prove that He is working. The Holy Spirit can move deeply upon the heart while maintaining calmness, dignity, and order. Genuine spiritual power directs attention toward Christ and His truth rather than toward dramatic human manifestations.

We should therefore be careful not to mistake excitement for the Spirit’s presence. God desires a deep inward work that produces reverence, obedience, and readiness for Christ’s return. The Spirit may move powerfully without moving noisily. {Ye Shall Receive Power - Page 331 & Selected Messages, Vol 2, pp. 41-42.}.

Contemporary Application: Seek the deep work of the Holy Spirit rather than dramatic experiences. Let your worship and service reflect reverence, order, and a heart genuinely transformed by Christ.

Prayer: Father, fill me with Your Holy Spirit and give me wisdom to recognize Your genuine work. Keep my heart focused on Christ and Your Word, and let my life reflect Your peace, order, and transforming grace. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Heavy blessings to all. 🙏🙏

Good Morning To God’s Family!

DAILY NUGGET

Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers. Titus 1:9. (KJV)

No disorder or Fanaticism

Not everything that appears spiritual is necessarily the work of the Holy Spirit. Emotional excitement, unusual practices, and disorder can easily be mistaken for divine power. God calls His people to test every spiritual experience by the clear teachings of His Word.

True sanctification does not produce confusion or fanaticism; it produces obedience, sound judgment, and Christlike character. The Spirit who inspired Scripture will always lead us deeper into truth, never away from it. {Ye Shall Receive Power - Page 330 & Selected Messages, Vol 2, pp. 43-44.}.

Contemporary Application: Stay firmly grounded in God’s Word, especially when confronted with unusual spiritual claims or experiences. Seek the Holy Spirit earnestly, but allow Scripture, not excitement, to determine what is genuine.

Prayer: Lord, keep me firmly grounded in Your Word and sensitive to Your Holy Spirit. Give me wisdom to discern truth from error, and sanctify my life through obedience to Your truth. May everything I do bring honor to Christ. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Heavy blessings to all. 🙏🙏

Good Morning To God’s Family!

DAILY NUGGET

But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine. Titus 2:1. (KJV)

Not Looking for Originality

The gospel does not need to be made sensational or reinvented to be powerful. Our greatest need is not something new, but a deeper experience with the truth we already possess. Real revival begins when we seek God personally, pray earnestly for His Spirit, and allow His grace to transform our character.

There are still depths of truth to discover, but genuine spiritual growth will always remain anchored in Scripture. We are called to know Christ more deeply, not to speculate about what God has chosen not to reveal - especially concerning the timing of Christ’s return or the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. {Ye Shall Receive Power - Page 329 & The Review and Herald, March 22, 1892}.

Contemporary Application: Do not chase spiritual novelty when God is calling you to spiritual depth. Pray for a changed heart, study His Word faithfully, and concentrate on being ready for Christ rather than calculating when He will come.

Prayer: Lord, keep me grounded in the simplicity and truth of Your Word. Give me a deeper experience with Christ, transform my character, and help me to live ready for His coming each day. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Heavy blessings to all. 🙏🙏
