There’s never a bad time of year to donate food. But the holidays can be an incredibly stressful time for families that are already fighting food insecurity. As more families struggle to meet their basic needs, food pantries around the country are more dependent than ever on donations from the community.

Is your perception your reality?
Your reality is born out of your beliefs and your beliefs will dictate what you precieve. You have to be real with yourself as to why you feel the way you do. Our past dictates a lot of how we view reality.

So we have to ask ourselves when it comes to our spouses..."am I reacting to my spouse out of a reality that has been shaped from past
(no time frame child to adult) emotions or feelings ?"

For example: You've experienced abandonment in your past, so you look for signs that your spouse is ready to leave you because you believe that you are not worth them staying (because of past experiences) you react by threatening to leave them or you may always complain that they don't spend enough time with you. Your belief says "my spouse will leave me " and your perception will always be that they don't spend enough time with you (even when they do it's never enough or the quality isn't satisfying your need).

If you can change your belief about who you are and know that God loves you unconditionally and will never leave you nor forsake you, your perception will change and you will no longer see your spouse as the soul source of your security in your relationship.

So even though your perception is your reality, I encourage you to step back and look at why you feel the way you feel and how are you unfairly holding your spouse accountable for your unhappiness in your marriage.

As a partner in the marriage, you determine how happy you want to be in your marriage. If your happiness depends on your spouse's actions/behaviors, you have missed the ingredient to a happy marriage. In fact, you are probably miserable because you are focusing on changing your spouse instead of yourself.

Let's get to work and start changing our beliefs in the Marriage and work on being happy .
