Today we remember those who were murdered,
those who were wounded,
those who were taken hostage,
and all who continue to carry the scars of that day.
We honor the courage of the soldiers, first responders, and ordinary people who risked their lives to save others.
May the souls of the victims be bound in the bond of life.
Bring comfort to those who mourn, healing to those who suffer,
and strength to all who continue to rebuild.
And may we never lose hope for a day when Israel and all peoples can live in safety, dignity, and peace.
Oseh shalom bimromav, hu ya'aseh shalom aleinu,
v'al kol Yisrael, v'imru amein.
May the One who makes peace in the heavens
bring peace upon us, upon Israel, and upon all the world.
Amen.
