Maundy Thursday Agape Meal:
On Thursday, April 2 at 7 pm, Stone Village Church will host an agape meal to commemorate the Last Supper, Jesus’ final meal with his disciples prior to his betrayal and arrest. The agape meal, reminiscent of what may have been offered in the upper room, will be a simple menu of soup, olives, dates, bread, and wine.

Good Friday - The Last Seven Sayings of Jesus on the Cross:
On Friday, April 3 at 7 pm, to mark the crucifixion and death of Jesus, Stone Village Church will offer a reflective and interactive, self-guided experience focusing upon The Last Seven Sayings of Jesus, depicted by the artwork of Scott Erickson. Participants will have the opportunity to meditate on Jesus’ courage, his suffering, and his faithfulness as he makes his way to Golgotha and the tomb. A printed guide consisting of prayer, scripture and reflection will be offered to participants. Please note, participants may arrive any time between 7 pm and 7:45 pm as this is a self-guided experience.

Easter Eve “Unplugged” Worship:
On Saturday, April 4 at 7 pm, Stone Village will offer a scaled back, casual version of its Easter Worship celebration led by Pastor John and Quinn. The Easter Eve “unplugged” service will include song, scripture, prayer, a homily, and Holy Communion. Please note, children are welcome to attend, however, SVC KIDS will not be offered at the service.

Easter Worship:
On Easter Sunday at 10 am, we will gather to celebrate Christ’s triumph over death and in the midst of our celebration, we will be reminded of God’s promise that we too can rise to new life. The Easter celebration will include song, scripture, prayer, a homily, and Holy Communion. SVC Kids will also be offered during the 10 am Easter service.

Remember this
in your pain,
in your battles,
in your struggles,
in your uncertainties,
your miraculous becoming.

You are the living image
of the Holy One.

This cannot be changed or diminished
or taken from you.

So, let this be
your hope,
your courage,
your assurance,
your foundation.

Let this be
the beginning of letting go,
letting go of fear,
letting go of doubt,
letting go of shame,
knowing,
no matter
your path,
your faults,
your failures,
your fragilities,
your life is enough.

No matter who you are
or the path you walk,
you are welcome here.

Holy One –

Before I step into this new day
I let go of the old one.

What I have done I have done.
What I have not done I have not done.
So be it.

What I have suffered I accept.
I learn what I can, and I will live today.

However, I have failed or fallen short,
I forgive myself. I learn what I can and
I will live today.

I release my regrets.
I release my fears.
I release my self-doubts.
I stand with myself.
I will live today.

For all the gifts I have received,
known and unknown, I am grateful.
Each will help me live today.

I am alive.
Life is enough.
Today is a gift.
I will live today.

No matter who you are
or the path you walk,
you are welcome here.

..
love is not always comforting or comfortable.

love asks us to be open to what we do not know,
to pray for illumination in this life,
to imagine what is beyond our imagining.

love calls us to turn toward one another
when we might prefer to turn away.
love draws our eyes and hearts
toward a more whole future,
but also anchors our lives
in the present moment.

so, this day,
I pray you know
love.

love that raises you
from the dead
not someday
but this day,
every day,
again and
again and
again.

love.

No matter who you are
or the path you walk,
you are welcome here.
