*The day of Ashora'*🌸

🎉 *which day is it?* 🤔

🌙It's the tenth day of the month of Muharram

(it will be on Tuesday =16th of July)🌼.

🤔 *Why it's important?* 🤔

🎉It is the day on which Allah, may He be exalted, saved Moosa (peace be upon him), and it is the day on which some of the Jews in Madinah fasted because of that.

👉🏻The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) came to Madeenah(his city ) and saw the Jews fasting on the day of ‘Ashoora’.
-He said,
“What is this?”

=They said, “This is a good day, this is the day when Allaah saved the Children of Israel from their enemy and Moosa fasted on this day.”

-He said, “We are closer to Moosa than you.”

💡 So he fasted on this day and told the people to fast.

🎉 *What is its reward?*🤔

🌿🌼 Fasting the day of ‘Ashoora’ does expiate for the past year, 👉🏻because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Fasting the day of ‘Arafah I hope Allaah will expiate thereby for the year before it and the year after it, and fasting the day of ‘Ashoora’ I hope Allaah will expiate thereby for the year that came before it.”

💕 This is by the bounty that Allaah bestows upon us, whereby fasting one day expiates for the sins of a whole year. And Allaah is the Owner of great bounty.

💎💎The expiation of sins that is achieved by fasting ‘Ashoora’ refers to minor sins; with regard to major sins, they need separate repentance.

10th Muharram: Why Do We Fast?🌱

'Abdullah b. 'Abbas narrated that when the Messenger of Allah came to Madinah, he found the Jews fasting on the day of 'Ashūrā'.

The Messenger of Allah asked them: "What is the (significance) of this day that you fast on it?"

They replied: "This is a glorious day in which Allah saved Mūsā & his people, and He drowned Pharaoh & his people. Mūsā fasted on this day out of gratitude, so we also fast on it."

The Messenger of Allah said: "We have a greater right upon Mūsā and are closer to him than you."🌻

And so, the Messenger of Allah fasted on this day and ordered the Muslims to fast. (Muslim)🌿
