HISTORY
The origin of this movement started in 2007 when several pastors from various states traveled at
their own expense to Atlanta, GA to celebrate the pastoral anniversary of their dear friend Pastor
Reginald Thompson, Sr. Present at this anniversary was Bishop Arthur Brown from Pittsburgh, PA;
Pastor Roy Brown from Mt. Holly, NJ; Pastor Demetra Sanderfer from Columbus, OH; and Pastor
David Cu
nningham from Cincinnati, OH. Instead of receiving an offering, each of these visiting
pastors decided to sow into the ministry of Pastor Reginald Thompson Sr. and his congregation at Christ Cathedral Ark of the Covenant
ministries by offering their time and spiritual support through words of exhortation, acting as keynote speaker, service director, and many
other helps. During the three days of fellowship there was so much love and unity experienced that individuals sitting next to each other
were no longer strangers, but felt as though they had found a dear friend for life. There were no denominational barriers and individual
beliefs were set aside because the main focus was Jesus Christ. Love had taken over the gathering and true Pentecost was experienced
as it was in the book of Acts. Because of this powerful experience, these five Pastors along with their ministerial staff came together as God instructed them and the
United Gospel Love Fellowship Conference (UGLFC) was established. The signifi cance of the name is that all were United in one spirit;
which is found in the Gospel of Jesus Christ; and the Love of God fl owed from heart to heart and established a Fellowship, which is experienced
throughout the year and also during this conference. God spoke to each Pastor and directed them that this would not be a one-time
event but a fellowship that would occur every year and move around the country. It was also decided that every Pastor, speaker, department
head, and the like would donate their time, talents, and resources to the UGLFC movement. With the continuous guidance of God we
look forward with great expectation that this movement will manifest what God has called for his people to do, which is to “love thy neighbor
as thyself.” We believe that the world would know and recognize the true love of God in operation through his Church (The Body of Christ)
and pray that people from all walks of life will join together so that lives will transformed by this great move of God!
