💜 A Message from My Heart 💜
I never truly understood how deeply death could impact my heart until now. Losing our beloved Overseer and Pastor has been one of the most difficult realities to accept. Some days it still feels unreal. I still find myself thinking, “Mama is not here,” and my heart longs for one more visit, one more conversation, and one more piece of wisdom from her.
Today, someone reminded me, “Mama is not here. We would be over her house right now.” And I had to agree. She was more than our Overseer and Pastor—she was my spiritual grandmother and her spiritual mother .She was a woman who loved, corrected, encouraged, and poured so much wisdom into my life.
I think back to our conversations at Ponderosa two years ago, the laughter we shared, and the many moments where she spoke life into me. I will always cherish the times she would say that I was going to pick her up and take her to church, and the precious conversations we shared on our drive to Cleveland, Ohio, for the Holy Convocation.
Although my heart is broken and my tears still fall, I rejoice knowing that she has gained her heavenly reward. Her physical presence may no longer be with me, but her prayers, her teachings, her love, and her legacy will live on forever in my heart and in the generations she impacted.
Thank you, Mama, for believing in me, praying for me, and helping shape me into the person and minister I am today. The lessons you instilled in me will continue to guide my steps.
I miss her. I love her. I honor her. And I celebrate the beautiful life she lived.
“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.” — Psalm 116:15
Forever our beloved Overseer. Forever our beloved Pastor. Forever Mama.💜🕊️
