Rejoicing in God’s goodness! ❤️

We are so grateful to the Good Lord for opening the way for Sr. Amor and Sr. Albina to return from the Philippines with their visas and rejoin us at the Columbus convent. What a joy it is to have them back with our community!

We also continue to pray and hope that, if God wills it, Sr. Cicily will soon be able to return as well. Thank you to everyone who has supported us with your prayers throughout this journey.

God is faithful, and we are deeply grateful for His many blessings. 🙏

Join the Bridgettine Sisters as we celebrate the Feast of Saint Mother Elizabeth Hesselblad on Thursday, June 4.

✨ Holy Mass at 7:00 AM at the Convent followed by breakfast and fellowship with the Sisters.

All are welcome to come pray, celebrate, and honor the beautiful witness of our order’s 2nd foundress.

This week’s Mass readings have spoken so beautifully about the unity of Christians — such a beautiful reflection of the Bridgettine way of life. Like the early disciples, we continue walking together “with one mind in prayer,” trusting that God is guiding us on the right path.

Everything unfolds in God’s perfect timing, and we are truly blessed to share this journey together.

“May they all be one, as You, Father, are in Me and I in You.” — John 17:21

“That they may be one just as we are one.” — John 17:11

“All these were persevering with one mind in prayer.” — Acts 1:14

“Take courage, I have conquered the world.” — John 16:33

As Sr. Anjeli returns to the motherhouse in Rome, we are so grateful for the blessing of having her with us in Columbus these past few months. The Bridgettines remind us that the love of our Lord — and our Catholic faith — truly is universal.

Praying for safe travels for Sr. Anjeli and for all the Bridgettines around the world. May God continue to bless their beautiful vocation and ministry. 🙏✝️

With strength, joy, and willingness to serve, you till the soil, get your hands dirty, and offer true assistance to the sisters. Your kindness and dedication are a beautiful reminder that every act of service glorifies God.

This Mother’s Day, we give thanks not only for our own mothers, but also for the Bridgettine Sisters who have been spiritual mothers to so many through their prayers, guidance, love, and faithful witness. 💐

You can honor a special mother in your life by purchasing a commemorative brick engraved with her name. It is a beautiful way to celebrate the women who have nurtured us in faith and love.

We wanted to share a few beautiful takeaways from a recent talk Father Kevin Girardi St. Paul the Apostle Church gave on living a 'hidden and holy life.' Whether you are in religious life or raising a family in the world, these 5 points are such a wonderful encouragement:

🕊️ Heroism is built in the hidden years: Blessed Franz Jägerstätter's ultimate sacrifice was only possible because of his 30 years of ordinary, faithful family life.
🕊️ Holiness fits your vocation: St. Francis de Sales reminds us that devotion shouldn't look the same for a monk as it does for a married parent; grace adapts to our specific state in life.
🕊️ Start with a morning offering: We can sanctify our day before we even get out of bed by consecrating it to God and offering Him every thought, word, and deed.
🕊️ Practice the presence of God: Like Brother Lawrence repairing sandals or working in a noisy kitchen, we can find the Lord's presence in the most mundane tasks of our day.
🕊️ Gently return when distracted: Spiritual dryness and wandering thoughts are completely normal obstacles. The key is to simply and gently RETURN our awareness to God without getting frustrated with ourselves.

On this Feast of St. Joseph the Worker, we give thanks for his fatherly protection and providential care over our chapel and retreat house capital campaign.

From day one, St. Joseph has been a faithful worker beside us—quietly guiding, providing, and guarding this holy mission. Today we honor him with grateful hearts and entrust all our work to his powerful intercession.
