We are not saved by good works -- but we have been saved FOR good works. That distinction changes everything about how we live.

In Philippians 2:12-13, Paul calls believers to "work out your own salvation with fear and trembling." Not to earn God's favor, but to live in response to it. Obedience is not the root of our salvation -- it is the fruit of it.

The most encouraging truth in the Christian life is that God does not save us and leave us to figure holiness out alone. He works in us both to will and to work for His good pleasure. We strive, and He empowers. We pursue, and He provides.

Whether everyone is watching or no one is, the time for obedience is now. If God has saved you, live like it.

Join Us for Worship This Sunday!

Last Sunday, we had the joy of celebrating and showing appreciation for our pastors during Pastor Appreciation Sunday. We are so thankful for their faithful leadership, their love for our church family, and their commitment to sharing God’s Word and serving His people. What a blessing it is to have pastors who faithfully point us to Jesus!

As we look ahead to this Sunday, let’s come with expectant hearts, ready to worship, hear from God’s Word, and see what He has in store for us. We never want to take for granted the opportunity to gather together as a church family and grow in our faith.

Bring your family, invite a friend, and come ready to worship!

We appreciate everyone who contributed supplies and those who installed mini blinds in the Tiny Homes for The Golden Triangle Regional Homeless Coalition. What a blessing it is to serve the Lord by serving our community!

What does true humility look like? This Sunday, we dove into Philippians 2:3-11 and discovered that the greatest example of humility the world has ever seen is Jesus Christ himself -- who left the throne room of heaven, took on flesh, and died on a cross for sinners like us.

He did not grasp at his glory. He emptied himself, became a servant, and was obedient even to death. And because of that, God highly exalted him and gave him a name above every name.

Every knee will bow one day. The question is whether you will bow in worship or in judgment. If you have never surrendered your life to Christ, today is the day of salvation. He loves you, and he has made a way.

May we be a people who decrease so that King Jesus increases.

One of the joys of serving at Fairview is getting out into our community and serving alongside our staff!

This past Friday, we enjoyed serving in the concession stand at the Caledonia vs. Columbus High football game. It was a great opportunity to connect with our community, see familiar faces, and enjoy a fun night of Friday night football together!

We are thankful for opportunities like these to build relationships and be a part of the community we love. We always enjoy seeing everyone!
