"Nice" is how we commonly see Jesus of Nazareth, and it's also how we commonly see women. We therefore miss how Jesus ends patriarchy. Clearly, "nice" won't do.
This six-week study is based on the book "Jesus Sees Women" by Cynthia Holder Rich and Mark Rich. We found in writing the book three years ago that our views of the gospel of Jesus Christ got a lot deeper and more serious as we paid serious attention to these many interactions between women and Jesus. In fact, we don't fully understand the gospel without understanding these relations and how patriarchy is ending through the gospel.
