In Leviticus 19:2, God told Moses to instruct the Israelites to be holy because the Lord their God is holy. Holiness with God is not an option. It is the standard for anyone who will walk with Him. Times and seasons may have changed, but God hasn’t changed and His ways remain the same. To be holy means to be set apart unto God; to be distinct from the corrupt ways of this world.

The big question however is , how does a fallen man walk with a holy God ? Truth be told he cannot if he does not receive help from God. Man has no capacity in himself to do the will of God. Isaiah 55:9, says as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are God’s ways higher than the ways of man and His thoughts than the thoughts of man. Genesis 6:5 states that the imagination of man and the thoughts of his heart are evil continually.

So in Ezekiel 37:26, God said“and I will put my spirit in you so that you will follow my decress and be careful to obey all my instructions. This is how God helps man. He puts His spirit in him. And by that spirit man becomes empowered to do the will of God. Phillipians 2:13 says it is God that is working in you giving you the desires and the power to do what pleases Him.

Please understand that this provision is a possibility only in Christ Jesus. The spirit of God is not for everyone. He only comes to dwell in the heart of those who believe in Jesus and accept Him into their lives as their personal Lord and savior. So if you have accepted Jesus into your life you have the Holyspirit. He is the seal of your salvation.

Now receiving the Holyspirit is one thing, learning His ways, partnering with Him to achieve His work of transformation and guidance in your life is another thing..To know where you stand ask yourself the following questions: Are you living in awareness of the presence of the Holyspirit in your life? Do you relate with Him as a person or as a force? Are you aware He is working in you ? Do you pay attention to His promptings? Do you spend time with Him in fellowship? Do you obey Him?
Honest answers to these questions will let you know where you stand and how to progress. Remain blessed in Jesus name

Your salvation came to you by grace, but following Jesus, becoming His disciple will cost you.

Our focus as believers must be Jesus and Him being crucified. Whatever takes our attention away from Jesus is a distraction that will hinder the demonstration of the power of God in our lives.
