It’s MIDWEEK!!! 🙌🏼🥳 You’ve made it this far! Keep going!!

Come join us tonight at 6:30PM! Kidz are in the second week of RELIVING SUMMER GAMES! We have 14 of them TIED on the leader board right now! Tonight will be a good tie-breaker as we jump into our gaga ball tourney! 🏐

Last week we focused on TRAINING HARD. 🏋️ Following Jesus takes training, just like being a solid athlete takes practice and training. Tonight, we will be focused on RUNNING THE RACE. 🏃‍♀️

“And let us run with endurance the race that lies before us, keeping our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith.” —Hebrews 12:1-2

There’s also super sweet prayer time for the adults while our kids continue their Summer Games series! So DON’T MISS OUT! We can’t wait to see you at Gentian Church! 🩵

Last week we learned how Esther chose courage and trusted God when she stood up for her people. 💜

Mordecai reminded her:
“Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?” — Esther 4:14

Our kids learned that heroes don’t always wear capes. Sometimes, they simply say YES to God when it matters most.

We sure hope to see you tomorrow morning as we continue learning about heroes of the Bible! Bring those kids, we have a space for everyone- babies to 6th grade! 😊

Last week we dug into the story of David & Goliath.

Who or what is YOUR Goliath? What are you battling right now?

David didn’t defeat Goliath because he was bigger, stronger, or more prepared. He defeated him because he trusted in a God who was bigger than the giant in front of him.

Whatever you’re facing today, don’t spend so much time looking at the size of your giant that you forget the size of your God. 🩵

Part of you says you really should be in church tomorrow, the other part says you’re too tired & have way too many things to do. It can be like a good game of tug-of-war.

Which part of you will win? 🏁

Church isn’t supposed to be just another exhausting obligation. Jesus says, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).

Sometimes the Sunday when you feel like you have nothing left to give is exactly the Sunday when you need to receive, to be poured in to—to worship, hear truth, be encouraged, let someone pray for you, and remember that you aren’t carrying everything by yourself. THIS is why we need our community, our village. And if you don’t have one, come find yours tomorrow! 🩵 There is a seat waiting, just for you.

Gentian Church is praying for your kids this week. Praying for their courage, for their safety, for their hearts and minds, for their big emotions and for their friends. We are also praying for YOU- as parents, as teachers- for patience, for grace and for you to be a light for your children and students this school year. Praying for the new routines beginning and that we would be reminded to include Jesus in those, and not just included, but the center of it ALL.

Last Sunday we were mat carriers for our friends. Like the four men who brought the paralyzed man on a mat through the roof to Jesus- we talked about bringing OUR friends to Jesus. 🙌🏼 here are just a few snapshots.
