Church Family,

It is with great excitement that we can announce that Rev. Josh Dunn was voted overwhelmingly to be Fairview Baptist Church’s next Senior Pastor. We, as a staff and church, are eager for Josh, Lindsey, Mattie & Cooper to move to Columbus over the next few weeks. Josh’s first Sunday with us will be tentatively July 12th.

As we prepare to welcome our new Senior Pastor, let’s commit to praying for him and his family each day. Pray for wisdom, peace, strength, and that the Lord would unite our church as we begin this new chapter together. We’re excited for what God has ahead!

Daily prayer prompts:

Day 1: Pray for his family.
Day 2: Pray for wisdom and discernment.
Day 3: Pray for unity in our church.
Day 4: Pray for God to prepare hearts.
Day 5: Pray for FBC Richton.

Also, we will be collecting encouraging cards to welcome Josh and Lindsey to present to them on their first Sunday at Fairview. You can leave cards in the offering boxes, the church office, or baskets around the sanctuary.

In closing, we, as a staff, want to commend the Senior Pastor Search Team on their dedicated service over the last three years.

This year’s theme is centered on John 8:12, where kids and students will discover Jesus as the Light of the World. Through engaging daily lessons, they’ll explore who Jesus is—God’s promised, perfect, powerful, and proven Son—leading to a clear, gospel-centered message.

With fun tracks for all ages, there’s something for everyone. We can’t wait to see lives impacted as we shine the light of Christ together this summer!

Church Family,

Out of an abundance of caution, and in light of other closures in our area, we will not have services tonight.

Additionally, the church office will close today at 2:30 PM.

We hate that we won’t get to see each other this evening, but we are praying for everyone’s safety as the weather moves in. Please stay safe and weather-aware as conditions develop.
