Diamond Way Buddhism Columbus

Diamond Way Buddhism Columbus A local Diamond Way Buddhist group centered in the Karma Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhist. Join us for a short teaching and meditation Sundays at 4:00 p.m.

The Diamonda Way Buddhist Group Columbus is a local Buddhist organization following the Karma Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism. Our lineage offers practical and effective methods to realize mind's inherent qualities and richness for the benefit of all. With teachings and meditation in English, we believe in making Diamond Way Buddhism accessible to the Western mind. Diamond Way works with people's

confidence, using every situation in life to develop fearlessness, joy, and compassion. Located in Clintonville, just north of Downtown, our group hosts weekly meditation on Mondays at 6:15 p.m., preceded first by a 10-minute teaching on a variety of basic Buddhist topics. In addition to our weekly meditation, we regularly host traveling teachers, attend courses at the over 600 lay Diamond Way Buddhist centers, and connect with our international sanghas through streaming video and social media. Newcomers are welcome, and questions are always encouraged. No previous experience with Buddhism or meditation is required.

Please note that the Karma Kagyu Diamondway Buddhist Columbus Center is closed and this specific site is inactive.

It was a matter of people moving and opening centers and meditating elsewhere. Refer to Diamondway.org for a great place to enter into this activity. Be well.

This past weekend, the Diamond Way Columbus group braved the snowpocalypse and traveled to Cincinnati to listen to traveling teacher Eric Gibson speak.

Among many other topics, we talked about transforming disturbing emotions into wisdom and power.

Welcome back Diamond Way Buddhist Group of Greater Cincinnati! We are excited for what the future has in store for both of our groups.

The Columbus Center will re-open for public weekly meditations on Monday evening 6:15 beginning on August 13th.. Look forward to seeing you then.

Still traveling, the fondly termed Dakini Ranch in Colorado and the Western Retreat Centers had wonderful teachings and personal meditation time for participants. I also went to teachings at the San Francisco center where I received the White Tara statue. Here are photographs of these two retreat centers (we have 4 in the US) of the Karma Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism under His Holiness the 17th Karma Trinley Thaye Dorje and direct personal guidance with Lama Ole Nydahl. The ranch is in Colorado and the WRC is in California. These are supportive and powerful places, along with good companionship and good food and good times to nourish and support personal practice. I hope your own summer is going very very well. m

Still in summer Retreat Traveling. A lovely statue of White Tara has been purchased for the Columbus Center and is being taken care of for a bit and prepared for the journey to Ohio and we can see it by early November.

Hi. During July 2018 the center is closed for Monday public meditations so members can do personal retreats. We will
re-open to the public in August and look forward to seeing you then. Be well.

Hi The public meditation tonight at 6:15 will have a short teaching on realizing the benefits of meditation. You can prepare by learning about the teacher Jigme Rinpoche and his other teachings. Jigme's words will be here, not the man himself. This is followed by a guide guru yoga meditation and informal tea and conversation if you wish.

Note that the center is closed during this July for travelling to hear various teachers and to work on the four retreat centers under development in the United States.

Buddhism is not something to consume but it is alive, useful and transformative. After the ten minute talk and guided meditation (about 60 minutes), tea and conversation on the patio is offerred.
It looks like the weather will be great for that. Peace.
