Happy Mesqel! ✝️✨ Today we celebrate the profound festival of the Finding of the True Cross.
For over 200 years, a massive hill of ashes was cast over the holy tomb of our Lord in Jerusalem in an attempt to hide the miracles of healing happening there. But the truth could not stay buried. The righteous Empress Helena, guided by God, ordered the hill of Golgotha cleared, revealing the Honorable Cross to the world. ⛰️👑

Though discovered on the 10th of Megabit, we celebrate today, the 17th of Mesekerem, the day its beautiful church was consecrated.
Glory be to God, and to His Virgin Mother, and to the Glorious Cross. Amen. 🙏🕊️

ኣብዚ ዝሓለፈ ሰንበት ዕለት 7/12/2026 ፡ ቤት ትምህርቲ ሰንበትና፡ ንዝሓለፉ ልዕሊ 2 ወርሂ፡ ኣብ ትምህርቲ ቅዳሴ ዜማ ፡ ትርጉም ናይ ቅዳሴ ብ ኢንግሊሽ ፡ ክመሃሩ ንዝጸንሑ ኣመሪቅና። እቲ ዝነበረ ትምህርቲ ኣብ ሰሙን ካብ 5 ክሳብ 6 መዓልታት ንልዕሊ 2 ሰዓት ኮይኑ እቲ ዝበዝሐ ብ zoom (ኣብ ገዛ ኾይኖም)ገለ መዓልታት ኽኣ ኣብ ቤተክርስትያን ነይሩ።ናይ ተመሃሮ ድልየትን ጻዕርን ከምኡ’ውን ናይ ወለዲ ተወፋይነት ኣዚና ነመስግን ፥ነቶም ነዚ መደብ ንምድላው ግዚኦም ዝወፈዩ መምህራኖም ድማ መንፈሳዊ ጉዕዞኦም እግዚኣብሔር ይባርኾ።

This past Sunday July 12 2026, our Sunday School graduated those who have been studying divine liturgy hymns and the meaning of divine liturgy in English for the past 2 months. The classes were 5 to 6 days a week for over 2 hours, with most on Zoom (at home) and some in church. We are so grateful for the students’ willingness and hard work as well as the parents’ dedication, and may God bless the spiritual journey of their teachers who devoted their time to preparing this program.
