Here are a few powerful reminders they shared:
❤️No Two Marriages Are the Same!�We must learn to appreciate our uniqueness, embrace our differences, and honor what God has called each of us to aspire to be.
🗣️ Be Honest, But Don’t Be Mean!�Honesty is essential, but how we communicate matters. Speak the truth with love and be mindful of the words we use with one another.
🙏🏽 Practice Self-Control!�Being married doesn’t give us permission to say whatever we want, whenever we want. Our words have power, and we must learn to respond with wisdom rather than react in anger.
❤️ Don’t Allow Issues to Fester!�Address concerns in real time. Communicate openly, work through disagreements, and never use past hurts or vulnerabilities as weapons against each other.
💪🏽 Build Each Other Up—Don’t Tear Each Other Down!�Marriage should be a place of encouragement, growth, grace, and love. We are called to strengthen one another, not destroy one another with our words.
