Throughout the month of May, Pastor Holmes challenged and encouraged us through Relationships 201, a powerful continuation of last year’s relationship series.
You may not be ready for a relationship if:
• You do not show up to serve.
• You are willing to suspend your values.
• You cannot receive correction.
Compatibility matters, and we can discern it by:
• What a potential partner values and treasures.
• Their unchoreographed responses.
• How often they sound like and resemble God.
The biblical way to forgive those we are in relationship with:
• Give yourself time to process your emotions.
• Make the decision not to become bitter.
• Forgive the action, forgive yourself, forgive the person, and move forward.
As we continue to grow in our relationships with God and others, may we seek wisdom, pursue healthy connections, and extend the same grace that God has shown us.
