“Christmas is a time to remember that we are all children of a Father in Heaven who gave His Only Begotten Son that all would be redeemed from death and who has offered the blessings of salvation and exaltation to all mankind on the same conditions.” - President Dallin H. Oaks

“After a long day of work, I planned to go to the temple to support a young man in our ward that was going for the first time. On the way there, I drove over a nail and got a flat tire. There was no way I’d get there in time.

Changing the tire in a gas station parking lot, I felt frustrated and annoyed. I started typing up a text to tell him I wasn’t going to be able to come but felt a strong feeling to go. I changed the tire, swapped vehicles at home and drove to the temple (an hour later than I planned on arriving).

The temple workers helped get me into some other proxy ordinances so I could be in the celestial room when he came out. I felt immense peace in the temple. My previous negative feelings were replaced with a love of God and His hand in my life. I knew I was where I was supposed to be and am grateful for a trial that reminded me to put the Lord first, no matter the circumstances.” - Brother Wylie
