“After a long day of work, I planned to go to the temple to support a young man in our ward that was going for the first time. On the way there, I drove over a nail and got a flat tire. There was no way I’d get there in time.

Changing the tire in a gas station parking lot, I felt frustrated and annoyed. I started typing up a text to tell him I wasn’t going to be able to come but felt a strong feeling to go. I changed the tire, swapped vehicles at home and drove to the temple (an hour later than I planned on arriving).

The temple workers helped get me into some other proxy ordinances so I could be in the celestial room when he came out. I felt immense peace in the temple. My previous negative feelings were replaced with a love of God and His hand in my life. I knew I was where I was supposed to be and am grateful for a trial that reminded me to put the Lord first, no matter the circumstances.” - Brother Wylie

President Mitchell is a patriarch and temple sealer and former stake presidency counselor, high councilor, bishop and elders quorum president. He was born in Fort Worth, Texas, to George Curtis Mitchell and Laprele Oliverson Mitchell.

Sister Mitchell is a patriarch scribe and temple worker and former stake Primary presidency counselor, ward Young Women president and ward Primary president. She was born in Gary, Indiana, to Daniel Sam and Beverly Irene Sullivan Crawford.

Church News recently shared a rendering of the Cincinnati Ohio temple!

The rendering of the temple shows the projected single-story structure of approximately 29,630 square feet, which will be built on a 35-acre parcel located southwest of the intersection of Mason-Montgomery Road and Cedar Village Drive in the city of Mason.

Grateful to have another temple in Ohio. ❤️
