This morning we start a new mini-series on "The Culture of Easter." We'll be doing what we did for Christmas in December and taking a walk through the Old Testament and the New, examining what hope people had in the idea of resurrection from the dead, and how Jesus challenged people's preconceived ideas about what eternal life means!

We have been studying the culture of Christmas at various points in time, beginning with the prophets in the Old testament and working up through today's culture here in America. Church family! We are excited to announce the start of our new Christmas mini-series this coming Sunday, December 3rd at 10:30 AM. Titled "The Culture of Christmas" this series will take a look at first, what the Old Testament people expected of the promised Messiah, then what the New Testament people were looking for when He arrived. After that, on December 17th, we'll take a look at our own culture and consider what people today expect of Jesus, and finally, we'll wrap it up on Christmas Eve, with a look at what Jesus expects of us. So let's celebrate this Christmas season with a deep dive into what makes the culture of Christmas so distinct!

Christmas eve service and fellowship Friday night, the 24th, with the congregations of Spring Run church and the Free Methodist church of Columbus City. Combined service to be held at Spring Run church at 5pm. All are welcome! Come celebrate the birth of our Lord and the reason for the season!

Pastor Bryce and Catherine Landon are pleased to announce the birth of their daughter, Georgia Louise Brielle Landon, born on May 7, 2021, at 7:47 AM.

In the absence of Pastor Bryce, Sam Braden will fill the pulpit this Sunday, May 9.
