Youre invited to Columbiana United Methodist Church (next door to the courthouse on Main Street) On Wednesday’s, kids and youth (ages 3 years old through senior in high school) meet from 5:30-7:00 pm for dinner, Bible Study and games. Parents/adults are welcome to eat dinner and fellowship starting at 5:30 pm. You can also drop your kids/youth off and pick them up at 7:00 pm. Join us as we explore how God wants to move us into a deeper relationship with Him through Jesus!

Psalm 51:10 The Lord’s acts of mercy are not exhausted, his compassion is not spent; They are renewed each morning—great is your faithfulness! The Lord is my portion, I tell myself, therefore I will hope in him. Lamentations 3: 22-24.

KIMCO/Youth will meet at 5:30 as scheduled then we will have dinner, go over Ash Wednesday with the kids and then take them to the Sanctuary to receive ashes.

Happy Fat Tuesday or Shrove Tuesday! Join us at Columbiana United Methodist Church tonight at 5:30 for a pancake dinner celebration. Everyone is welcome.

Not sure what Shrove Tuesday is or why we indulge with pancakes? Read on for an explanation from the United Methodist Church:

"'Shrove' is the past tense of 'shrive'--which relates to shrugging off sin through confession and repentance. Shrove Tuesday is the day before the beginning of the Lenten season--a season of fasting and reflection leading to Easter. For some it may be a day to indulge in a food item one last time before the season of fasting. Others treat it as a day to consider what they need to do in order to have a meaningful Lent.

Why pancakes? Many of the ingredients in pancakes were food items that were restricted during Lent through years--items like eggs, sugar and leavened flour. Making pancakes was a convenient way clearing these ingredients out of pantries."
