Haiti’s children and families continue to face extraordinary challenges, and our Mission Partner, Love Worth Sharing, is working faithfully to serve them in the midst of a deeply difficult season.
Ongoing violence and gang activity have displaced countless people throughout the country. As families try to rebuild their lives in new communities, many children are also finding themselves unable to return to school. Love Worth Sharing reports that in some areas, only about 20 percent of children have the opportunity to attend classes as the new school year begins.
At each of Love Worth Sharing’s four locations, funds have been provided for school supplies. But the need is greater than the resources currently available. The ministry is seeking additional donations to help more children access education.
We invite you to pray for peace and stability in the country, for children whose education has been disrupted, for families navigating displacement and uncertainty, and for Jim, Cindy, and the Love Worth Sharing staff as they continue this important work.
