Beginning in September, support for the new youth lesson curriculum will be included in the monthly For the Strength of Youth Magazine. Parents are encouraged to subscribe by the end of May to ensure their subscriptions are active by the September issue. AND IT'S FREE!

This was a powerful reminder of what can happen when communities come together in service. ❤️
As part of the nationwide America250 “America Gives” initiative, a truckload of donated food arrived in Columbia, SC this week to help support families facing hunger across the Southeast.
The effort is a collaboration between America250, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, JustServe, and local churches working side by side to serve their neighbors.
The Columbia Bishop’s Storehouse distributed thousands of pounds of shelf-stable food through coordinated deliveries to Blackjack Baptist Church and Redhill Baptist Church, helping local congregations and community organizations reach families in need throughout the area.
This delivery is one of 250 truckloads being donated in all 50 states ahead of America’s 250th anniversary in 2026. Together, these efforts are expected to provide nearly 10 million meals nationwide.

What makes this initiative so meaningful is the spirit behind it! Churches and community partners from different backgrounds uniting around a shared purpose: caring for people. Volunteers, faith leaders, and organizations came together to turn a national celebration into real local impact.

CRITICAL need for office help in the Columbia Mission Office! Single senior brothers, sisters, or a senior couple may serve a full-time mission from home and serve here (no extra costs like when serving away from home)! OR part-time (20 hours/week) may be a Senior Service Missionary individual and/or couple!
With 55 new missions being created this year across the world, there is a great shortage for Senior Missionaries. Our mission office will have three full-time couples going home in the next few months that will not be replaced. We need to step up and fill these positions locally. And ASAP. Please let us know if you feel inspired to help here or if you have any questions! Thank you Brothers and Sisters! ❤️🙏🏼

Office Specialist Missionaries receive training to provide support to the mission leaders in administering the tasks of the mission office within their assigned missions. Office Specialist Missionaries may fill one or more of the following roles: mission office secretary, referrals/records/supplies; financial secretary; housing coordinator; vehicle/bike coordinator; etc.
As time and circumstances permit, senior missionaries assigned to the mission office may also help with member and leader support assignments and other missionary opportunities.
Some helpful skills and experiences include an intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), phone etiquette, teaching and writing skills, office management experience, and office administrative skills.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints previewed its new Temple Square Visitors’ Center to the media on April 13, 2026. The new visitors’ center opens to the public on May 18, 2026.
