Wednesday Discipleship Opportunities
starting Wednesday, August 16th, 6:00 pm

Free to Thrive: How Your Hurt, Struggles, and Deepest Longings Can Lead to a Fulfilling Life - led by Dr. R. Maurice Hollingsworth.
This study will be a journey of healing. Discussion will focus on overcoming struggles, hurts, and unwanted behaviors by engaging your unmet longings.

Expository Discussion of Colossians for Men - led by Brian Farrell. Paul tells the Colossian Christians that, as members of the new humanity, no part of their human existence remains untouched by the loving and liberating rule of Jesus.

Love Dare for Couples - led by Darnell & Renita James. The Love Dare, as featured in the popular movie Fireproof (from the makers of Facing the Giants), is a 40-day challenge for husbands and wives to understand and practice unconditional love.

The Gospel on the Ground: The Grit and Glory of the Early Church in Acts - Led by Carey Barr.
God is always on the move, offering purpose and joy to those who long for fulfillment. You have a part to play in God’s redemptive plans.

Untangling Faith: Reclaiming Hope in the Questions Jesus Asked, a class for single ladies (18-30), led by Melissa Richards Mendez. This six week study combines humor and wit, as it examines faith, doubt and Christian growth.

Student Ministry Class in Colossians and Philemon: Rooted and Established in Christ - Led by Chris Hall. This short guide will help readers see how both letters resonate with the apostle Paul’s overriding passion: magnifying Jesus Christ as the supreme manifestation of God’s redemptive purposes.

Children’s Bible Activity Hour - Led by Erica Wise. Bible activities and stories meet children where they are and challenge them to think beyond the story at hand to the truth contained therein.

Mission Friends - Led by Karen Bytwerk
The journey to make disciples of Jesus who live on mission begins as you lead your preschoolers to grow in missions.

A 4-week Women's Bible Study began on Sunday, October 2nd. It is titled "Storms of our Lives". This study was written by and will be lead by Nancy Hollingsworth at 4pm Sunday, October 9, 2022 here at the church. The Bible Study will be in the Choir Room. There is no cost for materials.

In consultation with Deacon and Steward leadership and in light of winter conditions, we are not able to have in-person Bible Study and corporate worship at Pleasant Heights Baptist Church.

Corporate Worship will be virtual only at 10:30 CST via Facebook and YouTube.

Pleasant Heights Christmas Luncheon and Sing-a-long for Forerunners (Ages 49+)

In addition to a time of group Christmas Carols being sung, we will also be blessed by the Quartet under the leadership of Lonnie Roberts.

No charge for the event, but please RSVP at office 388-6453, so that we can plan for food.
