☀️ Shandon Summer 2026 ☀️

From adventures and laughter to serving others both here and in El Salvador, this summer was one we’ll never forget.

Together, we built friendships, grew in our faith, stepped outside our comfort zones, and experienced what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Our Shandon Youth had the opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus right here in Columbia.

Through our Youth Mission Project, we partnered with Habitat for Humanity and Home Works to serve our neighbors through hard work, teamwork, and love in action. From helping build homes to completing projects that make homes safer and more accessible, our students experienced what it means to serve others with humility and purpose.

We’re so proud of each student and volunteer who gave their time, energy, and heart to make a difference in our community. Thank you to our incredible ministry leaders, volunteers, Habitat for Humanity, and Home Works for making this week possible.

As Jesus reminds us in Matthew 25:40, “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”

Shandon youth came to El Salvador to serve, but the people of Ahuachapán are already changing us.

From sharing smiles and building relationships to serving alongside the local community, we’ve been reminded that God’s love knows no borders.

Thank you for praying for our team as we continue to learn, serve, and grow together. Please keep the people of Ahuachapán and our youth in your prayers as we continue this incredible week.

MYF is going to Carowinds! We invite all middle and high school students (rising 7th grade and older) to join us for a trip to Carowinds on Wednesday, June 24. Sign-up by noon tomorrow (June 16th)

We will gather at the church at 9:00 a.m. to load the buses and return by 8:00 p.m.
The cost per student is $60, due at registration, which includes one meal ticket for your student while in the park.
