In Missouri, a 10-week summer ministry internship has proved formative for both host churches and college-age interns as they are given space to determine their call for themselves. For some it has even led to pursuing ministry full-time.
Keshira Watson served as a MOAC Summer Intern in 2024, returned again in 2025, and now works full-time as the Student Ministries Coordinator at Webster Hills United Methodist Church.
Emily Bryant was an intern in 2024, and after graduating from the University of Missouri-Columbia school of Journalism in 2025, she began her work as the Communications and Development Assistant at the Central Appalachian Missionary Conference in Kentucky.
Ryan Cohen served as an intern in 2024, and now works full-time as the Director of Youth Ministries at Missouri United Methodist Church.
Josh Ratley served as an intern in 2025, will be returning this year as an intern at Missouri United Methodist Church, and will be attending seminary at Duke this fall.
