We typically try to stay away from any posts that may be taken as political. But this is wonderful news! Finally! We know many folks near and dear to me as I know several folks who can trace their families directly to victims of this. First sitting U.S. President to formally name the Armenian genocide just that. A long overdue moment of owning the facts. Beyond what you think of Pres. Biden just a reminder NO sitting U.S. President has ever named this as a "genocide" and this is an historic moment

Please take time today to ponder Earth day and the importance of protecting it. I know that many are skeptical of climate change. To me the evidence is quite clear. Don't be in denial with the facts before us. The danger is imminent. Folks, this Earth is the only inhabitable planet that we are currently aware that humanity can survive on. Let's take care of it. Let's help it heal from destructive practices of the past. There is no Plan B.

Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Memorial Day) for Hebrew Year 5781 began on Wednesday, 7 April 2021 and ends at nightfall on Thursday, 8 April 2021.

Yom HaZikaron laShoah ve-laG'vurah (יום הזיכרון לשואה ולגבורה; "Holocaust and Heroism Remembrance Day"), known colloquially in Israel and abroad as Yom HaShoah (יום השואה) and in English as Holocaust Remembrance Day, or Holocaust Day, is observed as Israel's day of commemoration for the approximately six million Jews and five million others who perished in the Holocaust as a result of the actions carried out by N**i Germany and its accessories, and for the Jewish resistance in that period. In Israel, it is a national memorial day and public holiday. It was inaugurated on 1953, anchored by a law signed by the Prime Minister of Israel David Ben-Gurion and the President of Israel Yitzhak Ben-Zvi. It is held on the 27th of Nisan (April/May), unless the 27th would be adjacent to Shabbat, in which case the date is shifted by a day.
