The attitude of false teachers can be summed up in one word: PRIDE.

"If anyone advocates a different doctrine and does not agree with sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine conforming to godliness, he is conceited and understands nothing; but he has a morbid interest in controversial questions and disputes about words, out of which arise envy, strife, abusive language, evil suspicions, and constant friction between men of depraved mind and deprived of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain." (1 Timothy 6:3-5)

Be cautious of them. Be a Berean. Search the Scriptures yourself.
..examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so." - Acts 17:11b

I would caution anyone that wants to be a Facebook teacher of the Word of God to remember James 3:1
"Do not, many of you, become teachers, my brothers, knowing that we will receive a stricter judgment. "

It is very much ok, and I would even encourage, for someone to share their faith and even some things they have learned,

But to stand on a soapbox as a self appointed teacher (especially those who are not under any Elders) aka / Lone Ranger Speakers/ is not something to take on lightly. Remember, you will receive a stricter judgment.

or

You just might be a false teacher.

....but what if it (the Bible) is true and there is a God and Hell? Is it worth it to be wrong and remain in unbelief? The choices made here are locked into forever upon our death!

27 “He answered, ‘Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my family, 28 for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’ - Luke 16:27-28

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith (in Jesus), and this not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not of works, so that no one may boast. - Ephesians 2:8-9
