Come by Grace at 10am this morning. 5010 Monticello Road.

What do you do when life puts you somewhere you never expected to be? “A Strange Situation,” from Psalm 137, is a message for anyone who has ever felt displaced, disappointed, disconnected, or simply uncomfortable with where life has situated them. The people of God found themselves in Babylon asking, “How shall we sing the Lord’s song in a strange land?”—but what was strange to them was never strange to God. Maybe life has caused you to hang up your harp, lose your song, question your identity, or step away from church. This Sunday, discover how to acknowledge where you are, announce who you are, and address what happened to you without allowing your situation to determine who you become. Your mourning can turn toward morning, your thinking can be renewed, and you can pick your harp back up. Come back to church—sometimes you need to be around people who can help you remember your song.

What God has given you may look insufficient in your hands, but when you recognize it, develop the capacity to steward it, and use it according to His direction, you’ll discover that what looked like “not enough” was more than enough for what He called you to do.

Don’t underestimate what’s already in your hands.
