Calvary Chapel of Columbia

Calvary Chapel of Columbia We exist to fulfill the need for systematic study of the Word, a need that is continually growing. We encourage one another and enjoy time together!

We are a group of believers in the Lordship of Jesus Christ coming together to worship Him, and study the Bible, His Word, so we can learn better who He is and how He would have us serve Him.

On the ocean floor, pufferfish carve out perfect geometry in the sand with precision, to attract a mate. No blueprint. No training. No trial and error passed down in textbooks. Yet it produces symmetry and design that leaves even scientists stunned.

So where did that knowledge come from? Instinct is not an explanation, that's just a label. The real question is who wrote that instinct into the creature in the first place. This is not random behavior. This is craftsmanship placed inside a living being by its Creator.

DNA SINGS PRAISE TO THE CREATOR

Creation is not chaos stitched together by chance. It is ordered, precise, and structured by an unseen language of mathematics. And because mathematics is also the foundation of music, creation itself is often far more musical than we realize. Christians should think carefully before dismissing biblical passages that speak of all creation praising its Creator. Those words may be far more literal than we assume.

In a striking example, a geneticist studying DNA noticed that the sequence of its chemical bases follows patterns similar to musical composition. He assigned musical notes to the four bases and began translating genetic sequences into sound. What emerged was not random noise or dull repetition. Each gene produced its own distinct and coherent melody.

Some gene sequences sounded structured and intricate like Bach. Others carried the impressionistic feel of Debussy. A mouse gene involved in RNA even echoed the style of Chopin. Far from disorder, the genetic code revealed harmony, variation, and intentional structure.

As our understanding of creation deepens, so does the testimony to God’s wisdom and power. From the vastness of the cosmos to the microscopic language of DNA, creation does not whisper by accident. It proclaims by design. Truly, every part of creation sings praise to its Creator. The only question left is whether we will join the song.
