God may call on anyone at any time to serve His will. That person may not even be a believer yet.

God has transformed men who were adamantly against the Scriptures into becoming His strongest advocates.

God transforms Paul
The apostle Paul, also called Saul, tells of how he was transformed by God from being a sinner and persecutor of Christians to becoming an apostle of Jesus.

Paul is, probably, the second most important person in the history of Christianity.

Paul speaks to the crowd at the temple
Paul spoke to a crowd at the Temple in Jerusalem. It was God’s will that Paul had been saved for the purpose of proclaiming the gospel to his fellow Israelites, as well as to Gentiles and kings.

Paul told the crowd about his being born a Jew, being zealous for Judaism and God, and how he persecuted both men and women and threw them into prison and putting some to death (Acts 22:3-4).

Paul told the story of how on his way to Jerusalem, approaching Damascus, a bright light from heaven flashed around him (Acts 22:5-6).

Jesus appears to Paul
“I fell to the ground and heard a voice say to me, ‘Saul, Saul, why do you persecute Me?’ ‘Who are You, Lord?’ I asked. ‘I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you are persecuting,’ He replied. ‘Who are You, Lord?’ I asked. ‘I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you are persecuting,’ He replied. My companions saw the light, but they could not understand the voice of the One speaking to me.”

– Acts 22:7-9

“When I asked, ‘What shall I do, Lord?’ ‘Get up and go into Damascus, He told me. ‘There you will be told all that you have been appointed to do.’ Because the brilliance of the light had blinded me, my companions led me by the hand into Damascus.”

– Acts 22:10-11

Paul then tells of how he met a man named Ananias who said ‘receive your sight’ and his blindness was cured. Ananias then said to Paul…

Paul’s transformation
“Then he said, ‘The God of our fathers has appointed you to know His will, and to see the Righteous One, and to hear His voice. You will be His witness to all men of what you have seen and heard. And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized, and wash your sins away, calling on His name.’”

– Acts 22:14-16

It was from that moment that Paul became one of Christianity’s greatest leaders and advocates.

God can transform you too
If the Lord can transform someone who persecuted and had Christians put to death into one of second most important leaders I Christianity, then the Lord God can transform any and all of us.

“Then he said: ‘The God of our ancestors has chosen you to know his will and to see the Righteous One and to hear words from his mouth.”

– Acts 22:14

The Lord chose the sinner to know His will. God took the sinner and humbled him, enlightened him, and brought him to the knowledge of Christ and his blessed gospel.

This serves as an example to all of us that God can transform anyone to serve His will.

Renewed in Christ
“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come!”

– 2 Corinthians 5:17

Your longing for heaven is good, because it is extension of your yearning for God. The hope of heaven is meant to strengthen and encourage you, filling you with wondrous Joy. Many of us have misunderstood the word hope, believing that it denotes wishful thinking. Nothing could be farther from the truth! As soon as God became your savior, heaven became your ultimate destination. The phrase "hope of heaven" highlights the benefits you can enjoy even while remaining on earth. This hope keeps you spiritually alive during dark times of adversity; it brightens your path and heightens your awareness of God's Presence.
My beloved Brothers and Sisters I pray that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Ghost.

You talking YOU GOT A RIGHT? Teach all the worship you want to. Do all the seminars you please, but it's nothing like going on trial that'll teach you to Praises to God. Now you can learn the Hebrew and you can learn the Greek. And you can Shabach and you can Tehillah. And you can do all the other stuff that you want to do. And you can get "Nine Steps to the Blessing" – "Five Ways to get up" – "Three Way to go on" – And "Nine Ways to Worship in the Car" and "Eight Ways to Worship in the Living Room." But when you get through going through hell and high water and some kind of way God bless you to get over – You don't know if you Shabach'n or Tehillah'n, but you so glad God brought you over!

TAG three people and tell them, "I earned the right to praise the Lord." I earned the right to praise Him. After I got through going through that last test, I earned the right to praise Him. I earned the right to lift Him up. I'll let nothing separate me. I earned the right to glorify God. When God did that last miracle in my life, I earned the right to praise Him. I'll shout if I want to. I'll run if I will. I leap when I get ready. I got a right to praise the Lord!

When your relationship with Christ is sort of like riding a roller coaster. Sometimes you on fire for God, and sometimes you don't feel a thing. How can you stop this up-and-down ride?

Let me begin by saying that you can't always trust your feelings, because feelings have nothing to do with the facts of God's Word. Feelings come, feelings go. And feelings can fool you. Trust the facts, not your feelings.

One important fact is this: If you've trusted Christ, you're a Christian. Jesus said, "My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and … no one can sn**ch them out of my hand" (John 10:27-28).

The Bible promises that "he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus" (Philippians 1:6). So we have to base our faith on God's sovereignty—what he has done and is doing in our lives—rather than on our feelings.

Scripture also says "if we are faithless, he will remain faithful, for he cannot disown himself" (2 Timothy 2:13). So even if you feel like your faith is fading, God remains faithful toward you. His commitment to you never changes.

Now, this is not to say that we should completely ignore our feelings. Sometimes our feelings are a pretty good indication of where we are spiritually. Our feelings might be trying to tell us we've sinned against God, or that we've put our relationship with God on the back burner. If either is the case, it's time to listen to your feelings. Scripture tells us, "Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God" (Ephesians 4:30). When we sin, we "grieve," or disappoint, the Holy Spirit, who lives inside us to help us live the Christian life.

So, next time you don't "feel" like a Christian, do a gut check. Go to God and ask, "Have I sinned against you?" (See Psalm 139:23-24.) If you determine your bad feelings are a result of sin, ask God to forgive you. And ask the Holy Spirit to help you go on walking with God.

And think about those times when you're on fire for God. What are you doing during those times that gives you joy? You're probably reading your Bible, spending time in prayer, hanging out with Christians, going to Bible studies, telling others about your faith.

These are the kinds of things you need to do regularly and consistently. As you do, I think you'll experience fewer and fewer roller-coaster rides and that fire will burn stronger all the time.
