Faith Baptist Church is a Bible-believing church that believes God is alive and Christ can and will still save those who turn to Him for salvation. God stands with His hand stretched out to all men and so does our church.

How true and how praise-worthy is the truth that God really does love us. That He condescends in His grace not merely to interact with His creation…. But to love us, to pursue us, to seek fellowship with us.

Richard Smallwood speaks about his song “Total Praise” and what occurred after he wrote it:

“When I finished, God spoke to my spirit and began to explain that he deserves praise in whatever season we find ourselves in. What I call “mountaintop praise,” when everything is going well and you have so much to praise God for, is easy. But the opposite of that is what I call “valley praise,” when you are in a dark situation and you can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. But yet we praise God anyhow, because we understand that this too shall pass, and even though it’s a dark situation, God is with us through it. Writing that song, for me, was a teaching moment from God.”

We’ll sing this beautiful song this Sunday in Total Praise to Him.

“I will love thee in life, I will love thee in death. And praise thee as long as thou lender me breath”

The writer of this hymn originally wrote it as a poem to the Lord at his conversion at the age of 16 🤯… it wasn’t until after his death that the poem was picked up by another pastor and a melody was added to it. This history now gives new meaning to the poems following lines:

“And say when the death dew lies cold on my brow, if ever I loved thee, my Jesus, tis now” ❤️

Join us this Sunday at 10:30 as we sing this love song to our Savior.

It has been a sincere hope of our church that as we have studied the Psalms this summer, we have seen how deeply meaningful musical worship is in scripture.

One of the songs we’ll sing this week is called “as loud as He is worthy”. Is it possible to sing out to such a volume? Certainly not. But the idea is clear that when we gather—it should be to sing loudly to a worthy King!

We are so excited to kick off Adventure Club this Wednesday night! This school year, your children will journey through deep truths about the nature of man, the nature of sin, and the truth about salvation!

Tracker and Lucy (ages 3-Kindergarten), Scout and Sally (grades 1-3), and Blaze and Amelia (grades 4-5) will lead the way as your young one goes on an adventure to find out how they fit in God’s big story.
