A person’s true mission starts when they accept Jesus Christ into their hearts. The location doesn’t matter. Every day is a mission trip, no matter where you are.

There is blessings in giving AND receiving.

Receiving is just as important as giving. When we come on a mission trip and give our time, energy, comfort, and resources, God often teaches us through what we receive in return. We receive the gift of smiles, connections, perspectives, lessons, and a deeper understanding of His love.

Sometimes the people we serve may look at us and think we are their “savior.” But we are not the Savior—Jesus Christ is. We are simply His hands and feet, His messengers sent to share His love and the hope of the Gospel. Our role is not to point people to ourselves, but to point them to Christ.

As we give, let us also remain humble enough to receive what God wants to teach us through the people we meet. Often, the greatest blessing of serving others is discovering how God works in our own hearts along the way.

🌎✈️ And they're off!

Our missions team flew out this morning to serve in the Dominican Republic city of La Vega this week. Please be praying for them as they share the love of Christ in practical and life-changing ways.

Some of the ministry opportunities include:
💙 Medical clinics
💧 Delivering clean water systems to family homes
✝️ Sharing the Gospel with families receiving clean water and supporting the local church

We are grateful to continue our partnership with Global Effect, which has been transforming communities in the Dominican Republic for the past decade. Together with the local church, they are helping lift people out of both spiritual and physical poverty—one community at a time.

Please pray for safe travels, open hearts, meaningful conversations, and that God would be glorified through every interaction. We can't wait to see how He works through this team! 🙏
