🙏🏾✨ RMZ Sunday Worship Service Recap ✨🙏🏾
Today at Rising Mt. Zion Baptist Church, we were truly blessed by a powerful and heartfelt word from Pastor Reverend Jerry A. Johnson entitled:
🕊️ “Be Still” 🕊️
📖 Scripture Reference:
Psalm 37:7-9
Pastor Johnson reminded us that sometimes our biggest struggle is reacting too quickly instead of resting in God’s timing. In a world that constantly tells us to “get even,” God calls us to be still, trust Him, and wait patiently on His plan.
💬 Sermon Notes:
• “Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him.”
• Don’t allow anger, jealousy, or frustration to consume your spirit.
• Every reaction does not require retaliation.
• Wrath and revenge pull us away from God’s purpose.
• God sees every wrong done against you — trust Him to handle it.
• Pray for those who hurt you instead of plotting against them.
• Sometimes being still is the greatest act of faith.
• God’s timing is always greater than our emotions.
🔥 Key Takeaways:
✅ Be patient with God’s process
✅ Don’t let temporary anger become lasting bitterness
✅ Trust God to fight your battles
✅ Love people with kindness, even when it’s difficult
✅ Stay faithful and let God handle the evildoers
✅ Your peace is more valuable than revenge
🙏🏾 Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding us to be still and trust in You. Help us to release anger, frustration, and the desire for revenge. Teach us patience when life feels unfair and strengthen our faith to wait on Your timing. Fill our hearts with peace, mercy, and kindness so that we may reflect Your love even in difficult moments. Lord, guide our reactions, calm our spirits, and help us walk in obedience to Your Word. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙌🏾
Thank you to everyone who joined us in person and online today! We worship every Sunday (except 5th Sundays) beginning at 11:30 AM. We would love for you to join us next week! ❤️⛪
