Praise and worship went to another level, the entire service shifted, and ๐–๐„ ๐‹๐„๐“ ๐†๐Ž๐ƒ ๐๐„ ๐“๐‡๐„ ๐๐‘๐Ž๐†๐‘๐€๐Œ!

One of our very own spoke about the prodigal son, shared a powerful testimony, and we were overjoyed to welcome them home.

Church isnโ€™t about tearing people down when they leave or mistreating them because they chose a different path. Itโ€™s about ๐‹๐Ž๐•๐ˆ๐๐† ๐“๐‡๐„๐Œ and ๐๐‘๐€๐˜๐ˆ๐๐† ๐…๐Ž๐‘ ๐“๐‡๐„๐Œ, no matter where life takes them. If it is Godโ€™s will for them to return home, we should welcome them with open armsโ€”just as the Father does for us.

If weโ€™re not ready to receive, properly manage, or steward what weโ€™ve been asking God for, we shouldnโ€™t desire it simply because it looks good or because someone else has it. We must be careful that weโ€™re not ๐๐‘๐€๐˜๐ˆ๐๐† ๐“๐‡๐„ ๐–๐‘๐Ž๐๐† ๐๐‘๐€๐˜๐„๐‘๐’!

James 4:3 teaches us that we can ask and still not receive because we ๐€๐’๐Š ๐€๐Œ๐ˆ๐’๐’. One definition of โ€œamissโ€ is ๐–๐‘๐Ž๐๐†โ€”meaning our prayers can come from the wrong motives, desires, or intentions.
Before asking God to give it to you, ask yourself: ๐€๐Œ ๐ˆ ๐‘๐„๐€๐ƒ๐˜ ๐“๐Ž ๐‚๐€๐‘๐‘๐˜ ๐ˆ๐“?

We donโ€™t want our desires to lead us into praying prayers that are outside of Godโ€™s will.
