“It’s not where you start, but how you finish” is powerfully reflected in the life of Rahab throughout the Bible. Rahab began her story in a place many people would judge, reject, and disqualify. She was known by her past, her occupation, and her environment. Yet despite where she started, Rahab made a decision to believe God when others around her refused to.

In Joshua 2, Rahab hid the Israelite spies and declared her faith in the God of Israel, showing that faith and obedience can change the direction of a person’s life. While Jericho fell under judgment, Rahab and her family were saved because she trusted God and acted on that faith. Her story did not end in shame—it ended in redemption.

What makes Rahab’s story even more powerful is that she later became part of the lineage of Jesus Christ (Matthew 1:5). A woman once overlooked by society became connected to the greatest promise ever given to humanity. Her finish became greater than her beginning.

Rahab teaches us that God is not limited by your past, mistakes, labels, or where you began. What matters most is your response to God, your faith, and your willingness to move when He calls. People may remember your start, but God focuses on your transformation and your finish.
