Yesterday, we were honored to welcome Bishop Leonard E. Fairley, who preached and officiated the Confirmation of 21 students as they publicly professed their faith in Christ and were welcomed into the United Methodist Church.

This week, Dr. Myers, the principal of Southeast Middle School, stopped by Shandon to present a donor award. Earlier this year, through our Student Ministries’ Souper Bowl of Caring fundraiser, we raised $2,300+ for the Scorpion Cares Closet, supporting students with real needs.

We had such a wonderful time worshipping and celebrating Easter together. It was a beautiful day full of hope and community.

The Journey Sunday school class appreciates the generous support from our congregation as the class collected diapers and wipes for the Power in Changing Diaper Bank in Columbia. The donations included 2500 diapers and 54 packs of wipes, which go directly to families in need in the Midlands area.

A special thank you to Jake and the Sunday School program at Shandon United Methodist Church for donating approximately 3,600 diapers after hosting a month-long diaper drive for Power In Changing.🎉🎁
