Easter Alleluia was inspired by the rising power of the Resurrection Flame and a desire to create an original Easter song for the Unity of the Midlands Choir — a song of renewal, hope, and the Presence that rises within us all.
The piece begins with a repeating mystical piano motif, evoking the first light of Easter morning. Women’s voices softly sing Alleluia, awakening the village to an extraordinary gift for humanity: Christ within has risen. Lower voices join in rejoicing, and as Michael Gayle’s electric guitar enters, the music expands — lifting the song into celebration and awakening on the Earth.
On Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, the Unity of the Midlands Choir shared Easter Alleluia in worship. Following Easter, Michael Gayle brought part of his recording studio into the church sanctuary to capture the choir’s voices. Choir members stepped forward with generosity, joy, and heart, helping create this final mastered recording.
This video features the completed recording of Easter Alleluia along with photographs and moments captured during that special recording session.
May this music offer a moment of peace, hope, and remembrance of the renewing Light available to all.
